We first started hearing that in September 2008 when ex-wall street piggie biggie, then Treasury Secretary Paulson started telling us we had to save mankind. It was the end of the world! The financial markets will collapse! Help me Obewan, help me.

Paulson got his 700 billion dollars and nothing changed except that we (you and me) now owe the government for what they gave to the financial lords and ladies.

Where did the money go? (When we doled it out we didn’t ask what it was going to be used for.)  Ummm, no comment from any of the gang that got money. It was just mixed in with the rest of the money they said they didn’t have and spent or used or something.

We’ve got burned. And we are getting burned again.
