Photoshop Touch for the Kindle FireHD 8.9

I have been Photoshop user since day one. I used it in my work everyday back in the days of using film for printing (do they still do that?). It was and I guess still is a great program – my last update was PS 8 since I now have to buy it myself.

Then along comes the Kindle and the opportunity to handle photos for my blog, Facebook, etc. I looked for apps and found a free one, of course marked no.

Then I saw the pay-for-me version and Amazon marked it butofcourse (of course – since it is not free – do I sound cynical?)

Well, long story short, I purchased it and was blown away. For any prior Photoshop user this is a great app and for anyone new to Photoshop, Adobe’s Photoshop Touch comes with some terrific tutorials. Now I can control images with the same quality and ease of Photoshop used on the desk top.

For $9.99 you get to

  • Use popular Photoshop features designed for the tablet such as layers, selection tools, adjustments, and filters to create mind-blowing images.
  • Work on high-resolution images while maintaining the highest image quality. Supports images up to 12 megapixels.
  • Follow step-by-step tutorials to easily learn techniques the pros use for great-looking results.
  • Automatically sync projects to Adobe Creative Cloud* and open layered files from Adobe Photoshop Touch in Photoshop CS6 or Photoshop CS5.1.
